Langmeil Eden Valley Riesling

Langmeil has always championed Riesling, the world’s finest white. Eden Valley, high above the Barossa floor, allows Riesling the potential for great bottle age and ability to transmit the characteristics of the soil, without compromising its inimitable character. After harvest, the pristine fruit is gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures to produce this delicate, yet intense wine, balanced with crisp natural acidity, typical of the renowned Eden Valley region of the Barossa. This wine may be enjoyed now but will be even better if kept for a few years.
Langmeil Winery embodies the ideals inspired by the refinement of knowledge shared from generations of Barossan’s – real people making real wine. Family owned and operated, the Bitter and Lindner families re-established the abandoned winery in 1996, from which Langmeil has had considerable success and has been awarded 5 stars in the James Halliday Wine Companion consistently, placing it in the top 5% of premium Australian producers. Without contradiction, Langmeil wines are ‘cutting edge old school’ quality Barossa wine.
We are lucky that with such diverse sub-regional micro-climates we can produce some outstanding white varieties, which are quickly gaining notoriety on the world stage. Langmeil’s approach to these white varieties is based around a balance of attractive aromatic aromas, with subtlety integrated fruit flavours that stay true to their varietal expression.
