2006 - Chateau Ste. Michelle & Dr. Loosen Eroica Riesling Ice Wine

Chateau Ste. Michelle welcomed bitter cold temperatures on Oct. 31st by harvesting ice wine for only the fifth time in the winery’s 40-year history. The Eroica Riesling Ice Wine is an exotic, luscious, ultra ripe wine with concentrated aromas and flavors of apricot and honey.

2007 - Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Dry Riesling
- * Style: Dry
- * Type: Table
- * Region: Washington
This is a dry, crisp, refreshing style of Riesling offering the brisk, Riesling character of white peach and mandarin oranges with a clean finish. For the 2007 bottling, we were looking for even more minerality and citrus character by adding more fruit from the cooler Yakima Valley. This is an incredibly versatile food wine – great for oysters.

2007 - Chateau Ste. Michelle & Dr. Loosen Eroica Riesling
- * Style: Med-Dry
- * Type: Table
- * Region: Washington
This Eroica shows the crisp acidity of the 2007 vintage. The wine delivers mandarin orange and sweet lime aromas and flavors with subtle mineral notes. The cooler September, along with selecting fruit from higher elevation and cooler sites, contributed to the mouth-watering acidity balanced by beautiful Washington Riesling fruit… An amazing pairing with sweet, flavorful Dungeness crab.
Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle pioneered vinifera grape growing in Washington state and has been producing classic European varietal wines under the Ste. Michelle label since 1967. The winery combines an ongoing dedication to research with a commitment to classic winemaking traditions. The winery owns 3,500 acres of vineyards in the Columbia Valley of eastern Washington, including Canoe Ridge Estate and Cold Creek. Chateau Ste. Michelle enjoys winemaking partnerships with two of the world’s most distinguished vintners. Col Solare is an alliance with Tuscany’s Piero Antinori and Eroica Riesling is a partnership with the Mosel’s Ernst Loosen.
Launched in 1999, Eroica is a labor of love for two of the world’s great Riesling producers. One from the Old World, Dr. Loosen estate of Germany, and the other from the New World, Chateau Ste. Michelle of Washington state. An intermingling of Old and New World philosophies and techniques enables the crafting an extraordinary Riesling from Washington state grapes. Eroica is an elegant off-dry Riesling that delivers a unique combination of mandarin orange aromas characteristic of Washington state Rieslings, melded with the mineral, spiced apple and slate notes with lively, crisp acidity associated with German Riesling. The wine’s zesty acidity, combined with a touch of sweetness, makes it a tremendously versatile and food friendly wine. Try Eroica with Asian cuisine, Indian curries, crab, scallops and sushi or even a fresh salad!
